MISSION
The Geneva Foundation for the Arts aims to enhance and enrich the quality of lives of those in and around Geneva by promoting civic and cultural development through the arts. Intentional and thoughtful programming will offer the residents and visitors the opportunity to engage, study and discuss art in all forms. The GFA believes art is a vital part of understanding the world in which it is created. Exhibitions, workshops, classes and events will be an integral part of the community’s growth and increased connectedness.
We are a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation that is run entirely by volunteers.
ANNUAL EVENTS
Shakespeare in the Park
We are proud to present a summer Shakespeare in the Park production featuring the talented Goodly Creatures Theater. Through fundraising and donation support from local businesses, we are able to provide this production free to the community. Last year’s summer production brought over 500 guests for a lively outdoor event.
Geneva Arts Fair
We are pleased to bring a talented artist, William Estrada, to the July Geneva Arts Fair for children to create screen-printing art. Those who participate create their own tote bag design to keep, courtesy of our generous donors and sponsors.
Steeple Walk Concert Series
It is a pleasure to coordinate and host Geneva’s beloved December tradition where concert-goers tour four historic Geneva churches as professional musician ensembles play beautiful seasonal music. The beautiful architecture, history, and music mix for an event perfect for the winter season.
Terrain (Biennial)
New in October 2025, we are thrilled to host Terrain in Geneva, a global public art exhibition! Terrain brings unexpected art into everyday spaces: porches, yards, windows, and rooftops. Local artists and residents of Geneva team up for unforgettable outdoor art in our own neighborhoods.
