Free workshop!
Once again, children will have the opportunity to silk-screen an image onto a canvas bag and then personalize the design with fabric pens.

Shakespeare In The Park

The Geneva Foundation for the Arts is bringing Shakespeare in the Park to Geneva!
A free* evening of culture and comedy for all ages!

Seating begins at 4 p.m.
Bring chairs, blankets and a picnic or purchase from our food vendors
Stockholm's and Graham's will sell sandwiches, water and ice cream
Performance by Goodly Creatures Theatre
A contest for the most elaborate picnic will be held at 5:30pm.
Goodly Creatures Theatre will perform William Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Join us for a night of comedy and culture in the park! In Shakespeare’s wittiest and wildest rom-com, Beatrice and Benedick are ferociously independent individuals who have steadfastly avoided sharing their lives with anyone but themselves… until now. Despite their best efforts to remain single, falling for one another is inevitable.
Parking is available at the Kane County Government Center, 719 Batavia Ave. Follow the trail north and cross the bridge across the Fox River to Island Park. Parking is also available in downtown Geneva public parking lots.

Terrain

The Geneva Foundation for the Arts is bringing Terrain to the Fox River Valley!
Terrain Exhibitions produces the Terrain Biennial, a worldwide public art event. The next Terrain will take place for six weeks starting in October 2025. For more information and images from previous Terrain events, visit: https://terrainexhibitions.org/
Let’s collaborate to make Terrain 2025 an incredible celebration of creativity and community! We are looking for people interested in being hosts for art and for artists. It is a fun and family-friendly experience! If you would like to participate, please click on one (or both) of the links below.
The requirements for a Terrain Biennial projects are:
Projects must be visible from the sidewalks and streets of the neighborhood.
Projects are self-funded by the individual artist and/or host.
Projects should be completely weatherproof and able to last for the entirety of the Biennial (six weeks).
Projects should be secured so that they do not fall over, especially in windy conditions.
GFA will help match artists & hosts. Please click a button below to share your interest.
Once you have an artist/host match, it’s time for you to submit your proposal. Click the button below to submit your project proposal.
