Say It Out LOUD

addressing mental health through art

Art is a means of self-expression and often, a form of therapy. The artistic process allows the artist to unearth, capture and convey emotions that are too difficult to verbalize for themselves and their subjects. In the creation of these works, it helps calm their minds, accept their own emotional truths and move forward from turmoil and struggles.

This exhibition invites viewers to explore the emotional truths of the subjects and/or artists through the works they have created, and to connect with our shared humanity as we make our way through a sometimes overwhelming and challenging world (both internally and externally). The show challenges the social stigma surrounding mental illness and encourages us all to open up a dialogue to gain better understanding and to take a closer look at our own attitudes towards mental health.

All works are for sale in the gallery, unless otherwise noted. Contact gallery for details.
